Eric Bruntmyer serves as the President of Hardin-Simmons University. Bruntmyer

Eric came to Hardin-Simmons University in June 2016 after serving as the Vice President of Financial Affairs at Dallas Baptist University, where he worked from 2003-2016.  Prior to his leadership at DBU, he was a private practice attorney.

Eric has taught numerous doctoral, masters, and undergraduate courses for Dallas Baptist University, Tarrant County College, and Dallas County Community College.  Courses that he has taught include Higher Education Law and Finance, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Business and Public Law, Texas State and Local Government, Negotiations, and Conflict Resolution Management. 

Eric did undergraduate work at Texas Tech University, and earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Baylor University in 1994.  In 2006, he also earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Dallas Baptist University.

Eric and his wife Elise have been married for 24 years and have five children.
