RSW2018 Week 5: Presentation – The What and the How

Saturday, 11th August 2018 was another exciting time of learning and capacity development as ReadySetWork 3.0 entered Week 5!

The momentum of the programme is steadily increasing and students are getting more engrossed in the life-changing lessons shared by experienced and very enthusiastic volunteer-faculty members.

Last week, we had two distinguished guests for our Meet-a-Mentor sessions. In Lagos State University, (LASU), we were privileged to have the Country Operations Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Nigeria, Mr. Pedro Omontuemhen, who shared profound insights from his experience as it relates to career development and the world of work.

Students Practiced Effective Communication Skill in RSW 2018, Week 4

Effective Communication in life and in the world of work is one of the critical factors for productivity and career success. In fact, any individual that cannot succinctly express himself or herself would inhibit his/her progress in the workplace.

After learning about the Realities of the Labour Market, Personality Types and Emotional Intelligence, it was very important to expose the ReadySetWork students to the art and practice of effective communication last Saturday.
